StarBurst is Ceramic Concepts' modern interpretation of classical Islamic geometry, combining timeless Moorish design with contemporary architectural style. Each hand-painted ceramic tile is individually handcrafted in our Palm Desert, California studio using the traditional cuerda seca technique, creating a unique combination of printed texture and hand-applied glaze that gives the surface remarkable depth and dimension.

Designed for both residential and commercial spaces, StarBurst makes a striking kitchen backsplash tile, bathroom wall tile, pool waterline tile, fireplace surround, fountain, or architectural feature wall. Available in classic Black & White or custom color combinations with a warm off-white background, this geometric pattern blends modern minimalism with centuries-old craftsmanship.

Handcrafted Ceramic Tile

Every StarBurst tile is individually hand glazed, producing subtle variations in color, texture, glaze movement, and surface character that cannot be replicated by mass production. These natural variations create an installation with depth, warmth, and authenticity.

Suitable for both interior and exterior applications, StarBurst is built on a durable quarry tile base for long-lasting performance. A porcelain option is available for freeze/thaw climates (approximately -10°F). For swimming pools and water features, we recommend a gloss or satin glaze finish.

Pair StarBurst with matching field tiles or contrasting geometric patterns to create dramatic architectural installations.

Installation Recommendation

Decorative tile installations require cuts around corners, edges, and fixtures. We recommend ordering 15–20% additional material to allow for installation cuts, breakage, and future repairs.

Because every Ceramic Concepts tile is handcrafted, slight variations in color, glaze movement, texture, and printed detail are part of the character of the finished installation.
