Each Sidus tile is individually hand glazed in our Palm Desert, California studio using the traditional cuerda seca technique. Printed texture combined with hand-applied glaze creates remarkable depth, subtle relief, and natural variation that cannot be achieved with mass-produced ceramic tile. The result is a handcrafted surface that changes beautifully with light while preserving the character and authenticity of traditional artisan tile.

Every Sidus tile is individually handcrafted, producing subtle variations in color, glaze movement, texture, and printed detail that make each installation unique. These natural variations are part of the beauty of handmade ceramic and create warmth and depth that cannot be replicated by machine-made tile.

Suitable for both interior and exterior applications, Sidus is built on a durable quarry tile base for long-lasting performance. A porcelain option is available for freeze/thaw climates (approximately -10°F). For pools and water features, we recommend a gloss or satin glaze finish.

Pair Sidus with matching field tiles, liners, moldings, or coordinating decorative patterns to create timeless Spanish Revival and Mediterranean installations.

Installation Recommendation

Decorative tile installations require cuts around corners, edges, and fixtures. We recommend ordering 15–20% additional material to allow for installation cuts, breakage, and future repairs.
